The last few weeks has been very exciting since the release of POE:2. A lot of the developers & testers have been playing the mod with the community which has been a blast. It?s been an eye opener as it has shown us how the mod plays out in the general gaming community and in the tournament/clan world. The proposed change log for the upcoming POE:2 v1.1.0 patch has been posted in the forums so that we can get feedback from our fans on what we are working on currently. The change log is a work-in-progress and we want to hear from our fans on what they think of it. Please click HERE to see the improvements that are being implemented. Of course we won?t utilize everyone?s suggestions as that would be almost impossible but we do try to use the ones that will best suit the majority of players. To provide a couple of examples of the changes that have been implemented to improve game play experience please download the next two short demos:

We want to thank our fans for the motivation that they give us by playing our mod. The team will continue developing more content and will continue fixing reported bugs as long as there are gamers playing the mod. It?s amazing how many people have joined as registered members of our forums. This week Impact93 registered on our forum who happens to be our 5,000th registered member and our forums continue to grow. Only registered members can view our developers work-in-progress in the Interactive Development area so if you don?t have an account sign up today!

On Friday the team received an e-mail from Harald Fr?nkel, Editor of the German gaming magazine PC Action . It was a very nice surprise as he notified us that POE:2 has been selected for their Super Mod award for the November 2006 edition. Once we are able to read the article we will have it translated and posted in the forums. He did pass on this quote from the article: ?Compared to the main game Battlefield 2 this modification is coming up with a lot of added finesse!?. We are honored to be considered for this award and appreciate the opportunity to be included in their magazine!

To show off some eye candy this week we have a new map that has been under development by Jilted. It?s mostly an infantry combat type map which is based around a large scale castle. This will definitely become one of the favorites for the gamers that enjoy the infantry based maps! Squirrelly assisted Jilted by providing the great static skins that definitely make the castle stand out.

To keep up with the development request of the community we have brought on 3 new developers this week. We have brought on Corsyus as a new animator, Sonic-NZ as a new coder, and TheCrow as a new modeler. They are very eager to assist the team so stay tuned to our news updates to see what they are up to. We are still in need of experienced Battlefield game coders that have experience using 3dMax and utilizing the BF editor to help get content in game and to tweak things. If you have these skills please fill out our application form located HERE.

So the view and the way the ATGM on the IFVs are guided has been changed or is that just to demonstrate the missile in action?

This is gonna seem really random but.

Is the lettering in the IFV video (at the beggining) supposed to be perfectly white or is it supposed to be slightly pinkish?

oh and nice update.

I see alot of water in that new map, it would be awesome to have high speed patrol boats (not zodiacs) in future water or swamp maps :p

Since 2 smoke grenades pretty much drops my FPS and others down to dismal levels, how in the world is an entire capture point covered in smoke not going to bog down anyones system?

The number of effect emitters is about half that of the BF2 artillery. Soooo, if you can handle the BF2 artillery, you can handle POE's new smoke.

Great newspost. The new changelog of the upcomming release looks/sounds really promissing. The same goes for Jilteds/Squirrellys Olesko castle map. I'm fond of infantery style maps.

Congrats on the award guys, you really deserved it. And welcome to the new developers.
